What Makes An Effective Leader?
Do you have what it takes to be an effective leader? It may mean being dedicated and staying till the end, or looking at both sides and solving the problem. It can also mean being responsible for the mistakes and decisions you make. Some say that leaders are born and not made, but that’s false you can actually learn to become the best leader you can be. If you can check off these 3 qualities then you are a perfect leader but you just don’t know it.
Firstly if you are a leader you should stay till the very end and work hard, also if you say you’re going to do it or finish it then you should finish it off or do it properly. If you are going to be a leader you should be dedicated to being the best you can. Most leaders have this quality, and because of this they work hard and are dedicated to everything.
Next if an issue appears then you should look at both sides of the problem, discuss it and then carefully make a decision that both sides would like. If you were a judge in court you would have to look and listen carefully at both sides, then you would have to come to a decision that hopefully both sides would come to an agreement.
Also if you are a leader you should be taking ownership for the decisions and the mistakes you make. An example of a bad leader is when you decide to blame it all on someone for the mistakes you chose. Whenever you do make a mistake which everyone does since noone is perfect, you should apologize and promise to be better next time since this creates a bond with the rest of the group.
In conclusion being an effective and a great leader is a great quality to have and also very difficult to be, I just don’t know how some pull it off as if it’s no big deal. There are more qualities that most leaders have but these are just some of the three. If you have these three qualities (or some that I didn’t list) then you are a hidden leader!
