Storytime Followup

Today we went to the hall and all of team 3 had a storytime

Edward the Emu By SHEENA KNOWLES illustrated by ROD CLEMENT




I like Edward the Emu because he thought that no one liked him but at the end heaps of people likes him really much so the lesson of this book is be yourself don’t try to be someone else Mrs Clarke read the book to us.






I like this book because it is funny and silly at the same time…. AND because it has no pictures.Miss Davis read it to us  she was very good at it she act it out which was very funny.

Maker Space Memories

Every Monday room 13 goes to creative space or maker space I LOVE to go to maker space.Thanks Mr Vogt you are the best.

OLYMPICS

Rio de Janeiro is a city.It is in Brazil and Brazil is a country.Brazil is in South America and South America is a continent.In Olympia they light the Olympic torch and then they ride a plane to get to Rio.Then people take turns and it is called a relay.At the end they light the big cauldron, and the games begin !

First Time Playing Softball

What skills did we learn today?

We learnt that if you do butterfly or the bucket you always have to snap your hand on the glove.

What games did we play?

We played sneaky bases and bases race.

What did I like the most?

I really liked playing sneaky bases because when our coach Hugh says 5,4,3,2,1 we had to go to home base,1st base,2nd base or 3rd base.

Athletics Day

On Friday the November 11th we had Athletics day there was lot’s of different type of sports.The whole school did sports the whole day it was very very hot.We did it in the field we did it behind the fence it was so cool.

There was 12 sports all together shot put,relay,high jump,tug-o-war,dodge ball,javelin,sack race.

My favourite sport was high jump because you can see how high you can jump.I really love to jump.When I get to the trampoline I went  WILD.

Guy Fawkes Weekend

In the weekend it was guy fawkes so lots of people bought fireworks and did them really early.So me my Mum,Dad and my little brother watched the fireworks it was very colourful and noisy.But when it was night we could not sleep because of the noise and there was some people who did the fireworke late as and now I am VERY TIRED.

Rubbish picking

Today we helped Ken by picking up rubbish and we found out that lot's of people did not pick their rubbish instead they just lift their rubbish for other people to pick up we did this because we wanted to show kindness around the school.

Coke and Mentos Experiment

Room 13 really wanted to know how high the coke and Mentos Experiment would go so we tested it and it did not go that high at all but all at the end it was so fun.

Oobleck

The  ingredients you need are

1. Cornflower
2. Water
3. Bowl
4. A Spoon
5. And some food coloring

The first thing you do is put some cornflower in the bowl and then pour in a little bit of water and mix it all together.When you think that the mixture is a little wet put in cornflower and if you think that the mixture is dry put water in.Then when you think that the oobleck is ready and you want to put some color in then that is when you can get creative so you put in some food coloring and mix it well then that is your oobleck .Now the final thing to do is……..PLAY WITH IT…….. it is so much fun when you get to play with it FUN FUN.Then room 13 lived happily ever after don’t leave my blog yet I still have some things to tell you about the FUN oobleck we played with.

Oh I nearly forgot to tell you about how it felt like and how it looks like so it is very runny when you play with it slowly and it is very hard when you play with it a lot of time.It was also very messy and some of it went on the floor.When you look at it it looks like bubble exept runny and solid it is really fun to play with so that means you must make it it is very fun to play with I recomend you playing with this oobleck oh and I must give it a 10 out of 10 PLAY WITH IT PLEASSSSSSSSSE.  

My Cool Holidays

Yesterday me and my brother was chilling in my room.Then my dad came in my room and said do you want to go to your friends house ?.Me and my brother both said yes please.So then we went outside and in to the car we went.When we was at my friends house we got outside and we knocked on my friends door.Then when we got inside we sat down on the couch.



Then my friends came out of the room and they were surprised to see me.They all came up to me and said where have you been all this time and I replied back to them and said I have been in my room because I was sick.After we all played hide and seek including my brother.We was having lots of fun.


Then when it was about night time my friends mum went to buy pizza and coke. When it was all done we all wanted to dance so we had a disco party.A minute later we was all exhausted.Then my mum said it is time to go home so me and my brother went home.

The Holidays

In the holidays my dad will take out the swimming pool.If I want to swim I can just go to my swimming pool for free.It will be fun swimming in the pool with my little brother.I am going to show my little brother how to swim really good.I hope my mum and dad come and swim with me and my brother.Last time when me and my family swam in our swimming pool it was really fun.

I would also like Rozaidah to come over and swim with me and my brother because I have her phone number.I also hope it is going to be sunny in the holidays so me and my family can go for a picnic.

My Awesome Weekend

In the weekend my friend came to my house to have a sleepover.
The first thing we did was a fort we used pillows and we used my tent.
We also put some cool things in our tent.After me and my friend was hungry so we went to the kitchen. 
We were finding something to eat.
When we was done eating we went back to our tent.
I got my pillow and my i pad and my friend got her pillow.
She said we should watch a movie so we watched Mako Mermaids it was our favourite show.
We watched it for 4 min but then we got bored so we went outside to play we played with the ball.

Dry Day For Climbing Gorge

1. Shut of the water when you're using it
2. Do not waste the water
3. Do have a bath because you have to save some water for other people
4. Use enough hot water for your dishes so you can save some more hot water in the shower

Reading Padlet

Sometimes when it is reading my reading group can do a padlet.It is fun and it helps me with reading. Sometimes it is a bit tricky but I always find a way to solve the problems.

Cross Country

On Friday after lunch We had Cross Country.We walked to the courts and sat down. We had to wait  until it was our turn.The year 8 had to go all the way to the beach and came back to school but the year 4 had to go halfway of the beach.It was on the feld and there was some people and they told us to go auround a cone.

For Cross Country I was in red I did not give up when  I was tired.I ran really fast for my mum and dad and my little brother I wanted to make them proud.I felt like a champion when I was running I was also really puffed out when I was running.I paced myself I went slow first and then fast and I kept doing that the whole race.

In the middle of the photo it has a tiny photo of me.On the sides are about the Cross Country.There is the sausage sizzle stand Mr Burt talking the house flags and some kids sitting in a line.

Derek Redmond

Derek Redmond is a fast runner for Olympics 1992.He is from Britain he felt worried because  he thought that he would not win.When he started the race he was sweady.

Derek Redmond ran half way and then suddenly he hurt his hamstring.It was very very saw so then he stopped.He was  upset but he did not give up so he kept running………….

Then Derek dad came and help his son.People came and dad softly push them and said go away go away.They walked all the way to the finish line.This story teached me to never ever give up and if someone is hurt help them.
