Hello there today, on the 10th of April after morning tea three special people came to team 5 to tell us about how they got their work and what they had to do to get that job. Two of the three was a former Pt Englander and the third one who's called Tanielu Tela who is actually Mrs Tele'a son, and the first guy who's called Jason Young was and still is Mr Tela's Friend from primary school. The second one who's called Fiona Bakulich who is Mrs Tele'a sister (Fiona is only one year younger then Mr's Tele'a)
Lets firstly talk about Jason, Jason is a Dysart Builder and he may not really look like a triathlon athlete but in 2018 Iron Man (if you don't know what iron man is it's pretty much a triathlon, you have to run, bike and swim) he beat Iron Man with Miss Tetou who was a former Pt England teacher, he was a former Pt Englander and also a former Tamiki College student.
Secondly lets talk about Fiona Bakulich, she is a funeral directer and she stared in the tv programme The Casketeers. She was inspired to become a funeral directer because of her parents they were a funeral directer and she didn't want them to work long hours because of their job so she decided to become one and give up her time. Fiona also told us that if we ever wanted to become a funeral directer we had to have a big warm heart and we had to even give up time for family because becoming a funeral directer means working 24 hours.
Thirdly and lastly is Tanielu Tele'a who is Mrs Tele'a son, he is a rugby player for the blues team and in his free time he likes to play many video games and he said that we should enjoy being our age and that we should also take all the love and advice our parents give us. He also told us to try new things and also he is also still in contact with his friends that he had ever since primary he was a former Pt Englander and a former St Kent student.
In Conclusion I really enjoyed having them come to team 5 and give us some advice on our future careers and I am pretty sure that most other people found it helpful as well. Now I am pretty sure that most people are second thinking on about what they want to become and what career they will have in the future. In the end we also got to say thanks to all of them and even gave each one a little gift to take back.
