This week’s book is called Battle this text is a non-fiction text.
it’s about a boy named Timiona and he is about to have a dance competition with most of his classmates and his friends. Timiona “borrows” a medal that was from his great great grandfather who got it for bravery in the war, Timiona uses the medal as a lucky charm and hopes to win the dance competition with it.
When it was almost Timiona’s turn to go up he panics when he found out that his green hoodie had gone missing and in his hoodie was the medal, he looked and looked for his hoodie and the medal but couldn’t find it. Timiona ended up dancing without his hoodie and the medal but still wins, he goes back home hoodie-less and also medal-less. Timiona sees Krusty the loopy mutt he doesn’t really like that much but for the first time Timiona was pleased to see Krusty, Krusty had his hoodie and his mum had the medal in her hand looking at Timiona her head was tilted on one side and one hand up in the air with the medal it looked like Timiona was going to get in big trouble.
I recommend this text to kids and teens who has an interest in dancing and books and texts, and also you don’t really need something like a special medal or just something that means alot to you or to your family you don’t really need it to be your lucky charm you just need confidence in yourself.
