Cross Country 2019!

Yesterday was our annual school cross country where it's like a race in your year grade. Since I am now a year seven sadly the teachers push us even harder and we had to run two laps, in total which is 3 km although it doesn't sound like much it is really really long and pretty tough.

As soon as lunch had finished we all lined up with the year seven girls in the front, the year seven boys after them and then the year eight girls then the year eight boys. We then walked to the courts and sat down waiting for everyone else to arrive, another school also came to compete with us and their school chose their best runners in their grade.

As we waited for us to called we played a few games and entertained each other, when I went to go to the to toilet when I heard Mr J say "Next is the year 7 girls!" when I heard that I dashed out and ran to the starting line. On your marks.... Get Set... *SNAP!* we all ran as fast as we could.

Running past the muddy grass we splashed ourselves and some of the people behind us, as I nearly finished and was on my second lap I felt my legs starting to get tired and it was almost impossible to just job slowly. Although it was though we all managed to get through it and after that we all were drained, we then got handed a water bottle and watched and waited for our friends to come.

In the end I was really proud of myself and ended coming 4th which wasn't so bad, I also regret not trying my best and my hardest but there's always next year! I enjoyed it and felt extremely proud of myself for finishing that race. Have you ever done something very tiring and extremely tough to go through? Have you ever felt really proud of that accomplishment? Well I am really proud for what I did and I'm sure everyone else who participated in this years cross country did too! Overall I am really proud and I mean proud of myself.
