You are right, you need to check multiple sources to make sure something is true and consider how likely it sounds. You can also check to see how well it has been written, like so there shouldn't be no grammar mistakes, typ00s or like informal totes casual language. Then, even on legit sites, with well written articles, the text might still be heavily opinionated. If a journalist is sharing their opinion on a matter, they may not share the whole story.
